I don’t know how many of you know me that well, so here’s everything you will ever need to know about me.
I’m Michelle, but most people call me Mich or Forsyth. I’m in year 12 and I go to a public school in Werribee. I’m 17, turning 18 on December 28, 2012. I have one brother, however I have two other large families. They are known as the Werribee Concert Band and the Wyndham Vale Falcons. When I grow up I want to be a music and humanities teacher. I would also love to be a professional musician, a professional footballer and a photographer, but lets see where I get with the whole education thing first. I want to study at the University of Melbourne. I will study at the University of Melbourne.
Feel free to not read this or even skip through parts. I have a tendency to ramble.
I have been playing in the Werribee Concert Band since I was in year 7 and I have never looked back. I can’t imagine my life without it. I get to not only play good music, but learn more about music and really develop my skills. It’s how I got to be such a good player and learn so much in such a short period of time. I love all the people there. There have been people there that we have disliked, but after last year they are out of our lives, hopefully for good. I am not only a playing member of the band, I am a committee member. I am the Librarian, and although sometimes I hate it because of the lack of communication with other people or because how badly I can be treated because of it, I really do love it. And if I get treated badly because of it I know people don’t mean to. I get to look after all of our music, which there is a lot of, and I get to stamp things. When we didn’t have a Librarian it was really hard on the band, so it makes me feel not only important, but I feel more valued and more of an asset than I once was because I’m not gonna lie I am one of the best players there and everyone knows it lol just a bit up myself. I love going to gigs and I love committee meetings. I also love band camp. Yes, you may laugh, but some of my greatest memories have come from camps over the years. We play good music, eat good food and we’re around good people. We play guitar hero and have karaoke and everyone gets drunk. It’s a lot of fun. I seriously cannot imagine my life without going there and meeting all the amazing people I have met. I have met some of my best friends through that band, as well as an ex boy friend or two.
I play lots of instruments. I have been playing the piano since I was four or something. That sounds really impressive but I’m not very good because I don’t have lessons or even practice anymore. My main instrument is the flute, and I play the piccolo as well. I also play alto sax, tenor sax and baritone saxophone. And clarinet and bass clarinet. And trumpet. I haven’t decided what my next instrument will be. Maybe drums or trombone.
I really like jazz. A lot. I like jazz a lot. I love jazz. I also like classical music. But do not get me wrong, I love metal too. I love indie music and I am considered an ‘indie kid’. I like Green Day and I like Blink 182. I love Glenn Miller, Miles Davis and John Coltrane. I like almost every kind of music except for rap and rnb. I really dislike Miley Cyrus.
I like live music a lot and I have been to a lot of shows. I’ve seen one band like 7 times. It’s crazy. My favourite gig was when I saw The Maine, Nevershoutnever! and We The Kings.
Although I haven’t been playing footy for long, it has always been a part of my life. I love the AFL, and I go for the Carlton Blues. I hate Collingwood and the West Coast Eagles. Bryce Gibbs is my favourite player and he also happens to be my husband he just doesn’t know it yet and he happens to be number 4, which is coincidentally my favourite number. It was meant to be. However, I love all of our players. Murphy, Kreuzer, Simpson, Betts, Yarran, Garlett, Scotland, Jamison, Carrazzo, Henderson, Waite.. Ok so I pretty much mentioned most of our players, but you get the picture. I do think that Chris Judd is a SLIGHTLY overrated player, which is not something you are likely to hear from other Carlton supporter. He is a very good player, but with all of our young talent coming through he doesn’t seem as good as he once was. Then there are people who aren’t so young like Heath Scotland who just keeps getting better with age.
Apart from Carlton, I go for the Northern Bullants in the VFL, as well as the Werribee Tigers. For those of you who are into football you probably know Majak Daw, and he came to my footy presentation and presented us our awards. He’s really cool and my friend wants to marry him.
I love playing footy and it has very quickly become a big part of my life, and something I can’t imagine not doing. I love the Wyndham Vale Falcons. Pretty much everyone there are really nice and there are quite a few people who are guns at footy. Girls can play just as well as guys and it’s something I am very passionate about. I have one more year left in Youth Girls and then I’m going to play Seniors, probably for St. Albans, but I don’t really know yet. In my next season my main goal, other than to win a premiership of course, is to make the Western Interleague team. I also would love to represent Victoria in the U/18’s nationals and be named in the All Australian. That’s not going to happen, but a girl can dream. Most girls dream about their perfect guy and the perfect wedding and their perfect life, but no, I dream about being credited All Australian.
I love TV, but I REALLY love TV on DVD. Friends is one of my absolute favourites, just like Misfits, How I Met Your Mother, Sex and the City, Roseanne, and pretty much anything else that appears on 111 Hits except Prisoner and Greys Anatomy and ER because I’ve never really watched them. I also love Gilmore Girls and I own every single episode of it. I like Pokemon but I think they should have stopped a long time ago. That hasn’t stopped me from playing the new ones though. I also like TV shows such as Family Guy and American Dad. Futurama and The Simpsons are good too. I like gaming. X-box is better than Playstation, but both are good. I don’t like Macs unless I’m using Pro Tools. If you don’t know what Pro Tools is, please Google it. Google is a good friend of mine.
I also really like movies and my favourite movie in the world is Harry Potter. I know pretty much everything and there is lots of Harry Potter on my blog. I also really like Ferris Bueller’s Day Off. And The Blues Brothers. And My Girl. And the Pokemon Movies. And Mean Girls. And The Notebook. And The Glenn Miller Story. And Disney movies, like The Lion King which is worth $16 dollars to see in 3D.
I like food. A lot. I really like bacon. I also like Dr Pepper and Irn Bru (pronounced Iron Brew). I eat a lot of curry and a lot of spaghetti bolognese. I like to put lots of cheese on my spaghetti bolognese. It’s pretty much half cheese. I have a minor obsession with Tic Tacs and I’m not a massive fan of energy drinks, but I do really like this one called Red Eye which tastes like fruit tingles.
My deb was one of the greatest nights of my life. 15th of July 2011. One of my best friends, Nick, was such an amazing deb partner. VCESS 2012 was also one of the greatest experiences of my life. It was two weeks that went by way too quickly.
I have my nose pierced, my ear lobes pierced twice on each ear and the middle part of my cartilage pierced on each, but it is slightly lower on my left ear.
Melbourne is the greatest city in the world and I don’t think I will ever move interstate, or even away from my home town. Although I spent the majority of my life in St. Albans, Werribee will always be my home. I love social networking. I have a weird sense of humour. I like to drink tea. I can’t sleep in because my blinds let through too much light. I love my iPhone 4GS. I think the ‘4GS’ is an important distinction. I have two dogs, Tasha who is three years old and a purebred American Staffy, and Harry who is one year of age. and is an English Staffy x Rotweiler and he is one of the cutest things I have ever seen. Tash is really smart and Harry is really stupid, but he’s twice the size of her and is younger than her.
I have been to two high schools because my first one cancelled music altogether. I am studying English, Literature, Psychology, Music, History and I have already completed a year 12 subject which is a Certificate III in Music Industry - Technical Production.
As you can see, I like to ramble and I am a massive grammar Nazi so if I misspell anything it’s super embarrassing.
